The short version

Patchcard works locally. We do not run analytics, place advertising cookies, create accounts, or receive your cards, audio, or browser storage.

What stays on your device

The demo saves named cards in your browser’s local storage when you choose “Save specimen.” Audio previews and WAV exports are generated in your browser. You can delete one card or clear all cards from the Saved specimens panel.

What a share link contains

A share link places the card’s name, toy metadata, parameters, and waveform data directly in the URL. WAV audio is excluded by default. Anyone you send the URL to can read those settings, so avoid putting personal information in card names or descriptions.

Network and third parties

The deployed site does not need third-party scripts, fonts, analytics, or storage services. Your hosting provider may keep ordinary server access logs; its policy governs those logs. Links to GitHub or npm take you to their services.

Your choices

You may use the library entirely offline, export JSON, delete local cards, or clear site data in your browser. Because we do not receive your cards, we cannot retrieve or delete a copy for you.
